[ad_1]

MAT or The Management Aptitude Test is an exam conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA). This exam opens up avenues for thousands of students willing to get a seat in the Indian MBA programme. This is a postgraduate level exam and aims only at the top MBA colleges in India. If you want to know more about what the MAT exam is used for? Our blog will answer all your questions so read on!

What Is The MAT Exam Used For?

MAT is a national-level entrance exam which allows students to study MBA/PGDM courses at 800+ B-schools in India. It takes place in four phases which are in February, May, September and December.  Here are some of the uses of the score:

Evaluating Aptitude For Management Studies: The exam puts value on the student’s potential for pursuing MBA studies in our country. It checks out metrics such as logical reasoning, data interpretation, language comprehension and quantitative abilities. All of which are quite vital for an MBA student’s future.

Screening Applicants: The scores which various universities accumulate are later on used to filter out the best to worst. This is determined on the basis of a cut-off which colleges in India have set. Students who manage to conquer the set number are given a go-ahead and eventually admitted.

Potential Scholarship Offerings: Some colleges may also offer scholarships to only those students who manage to master this exam. Some of these are Jaipuria Institute of Management, IMI Delhi, Goa Institute of Management and others.
