$1000 award
Offered twice a year
Open to full-time students at a post-secondary institution (An accredited college, university, or trade school, in the United States.)
College-bound high school seniors may also apply
Students must be at least 18
G.P.A. requirement is 3.0 and above
Open to students in all majors
NO financial need requirement
NO letters of recommendation required
Deadlines: March 31 and September 30
Essay Prompt (500 to 750 words)
What does financial responsibility mean to you and what steps should students take to plan their budget?
WINNING TIPS: Students need to think about how they have been fiscally responsible and share a personal story with concrete examples. This is a two-part essay question, so both parts need to be answered with specific steps and an action plan when it comes to budgeting.
